Considering this beautiful Bride is a wedding planner herself, she knew the importance of showcasing a couple’s personality on their wedding, and so of course, created one uber chic celebration for her own special day. With pops of citrus, both in color and literally in the delicious decor, this autumn Ibiza wedding, captured by Ana Lui, is a feast for the eyes. Start the party in our VAULT right this way!

From Ana Lui Photography… The beautiful wedding of a Swiss wedding planner Claudia at cm weddings. Claudia planned and designed her own wedding in Ibiza with a little help from Can Gall’s owner Santi and Ana, and her catering dream team Cardamom Events.
From the Bride… Planning a wedding can be rather stressful. Even more so if it is abroad and you can’t just quickly go and look or go and do… It needs quite a bit more imagination and a clear vision of what you want and how you want the day to feel. Obviously this is easiest to achieve if you know the place and more importantly love it, and love how you feel there. Try to actually visit the venue at least once before the wedding. This will not only give you a sense of security for your big day but also the opportunity to meet with your photographer and videographer, catering company, florists, hair and make-up artist, etc… They will be very important to make your day perfect so make sure “it clicks.” Hiring a wedding planner is always a good idea… ;)
I was actually curious about how it would be to plan my own wedding being a wedding planner. Marlene – who is the co-founder of cm weddings – and I are very detail-oriented about every wedding and event we are planning. We believe it’s the little things that create the perfect big picture in the end. When we plan weddings for other people, a big part of the process is finding out what it is exactly the couple really likes and who they are. Only when we know we have completely understood the taste and style of a couple we can start with the actual planning, as our highest goal is to create the perfect day for the couple (and not for us…).
This time everything was different though… This time it was about Chris and me, about us as a couple and about us as a family with Miles. There was no wondering about what we would like and what not, where the wedding should take place or how we wanted the day to feel. Everything was right there in our hearts and minds, we just had to transform it into our perfect wedding. I had a very clear vision and I have to admit that I might have driven one or the other person involved a bit crazy… There was more than one situation where things had to be started over again because it wasn’t what I had in mind. We also did a lot ourselves as we wanted it to be as personal as possible and so we were sitting for hours designing, creating and making so many of the little touches. Being so fussy and strict in the planning phase of the wedding really paid-off on the big day. Not only was I able to totally relax and enjoy the day (it didn’t even worry me that the celebrant was not to be found 45 minutes after the ceremony should have started…) but seeing the vision coming true and being even better than in my wildest dreams was worth everything!
