As we dance on the edge of winter here in New England, I’m fully embracing the cozy layers, toasty fireside snuggles and anticipation of falling flakes. But in a sunny tucked away corner of my heart, I miss scenes like this where ocean breezes are aplenty and golden hour rules. Planned by Vintage & Lace and captured by Christine Clark, this Hawaiian soiree is my summer escape and recipe for happiness today. Join me in THE VAULT!

From Christine Clark…Jen and Richard’s wedding fell on a hot and beautiful day on the Big Island of Hawaii. Their ceremony site at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel was set on a little lawn framed by great, spreading trees, and overlooked a dreamy turquoise ocean. It could not have been more perfect. Jen was a vision in lace and tulle, and the most delicate branching pearl head piece. Richard was ecstatic as he caught his first glimpse of her as she came down the aisle, and they went on to read their personalized vows to each other.
After the ceremony we went out at golden hour and shot in a little grove of trees that opened out onto a rocky shore. The light was warm and beautiful, falling through the trees in glowing patches. I love it when couples are warmly affectionate with each other, and Jen and Richard were the sweetest couple. Their lovely connection was easy to see, and a joy to photograph. As the sunlight faded and slipped into night, we wrapped up shooting, and made our way to the reception and awaiting celebration. The whole day was beautiful, with perfect little breezes, warm light, and a lovely celebration of love.
