I like creative combos and when this glamorous-meets-rustic celebration came across my desk, all sorts of stylish ideas came with it. Thanks to the gorgeous pics by W Studios New York and Designs By Ahn’s fab floral creations, this is one chic aesthetic that I hope to see so much more of. With Bartleby & Sage serving up tasty treats and 74 Events keeping everyone on the dance floor, it was a NYC night to remember – see it all in our VAULT this way!
From W Studios New York… The Foundry is the gem of Long Island City. Originally used as a metal foundry, this venue is one of a kind, its industrial structure softened by the natural greenery and vines that envelope the building. It was the perfect spot for Jen and Zach to host their intimate wedding! We started the day with the girls at the St. Regis complete with personalized glasses of rosé, monogram pjs and of course a few jumps on the bed! After we headed to the Foundry, where Jen was escorted by her uncle to say her vows with Zach surrounded by the closest family and friends. We loved all of the gold accents that brought a touch of old world glamour to the celebration, from the golden leaves in the bridesmaid bouquets to the gold glitter artfully sprinkled around the table numbers. With taper candles, string lights and Moroccan style lanterns lighting up the brick interior, the scene was set for a perfect evening. Long tables spanning the length of the room buzzed with happy conversation and the clinking of glasses. The guests danced in an adjacent room and just when they thought the party was at an end, the newlyweds surprised them with a whiskey bar and a dessert table complete with a MomoFuku Milk Bar cake, cupcakes, donuts, and s’mores!
From the Bride… Our day was nothing short of wedded bliss! Every detail so close to our hearts, finally coming together with those we love most, sharing in the moments we will never forget – perfection, from the anxiously awaited first look on the breathtaking terrace of the Foundry, to hearing the cheers of our guests as Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” escorted us down the aisle, the intimate Southern Supper ringing in our new nuptials and at last, the coup de grace of the now famous Billy Joel charade between my Uncle and my Groom. We simply could not have fathomed a more fitting celebration and are forever thankful for the gracious support of our wonderful family, friends and vendors.
