A touch of whimsy here and a dash of vineyard romance there, this soiree from Koman Photography is packed with more details than I can count on my digits. The al fresco reception space alone is oh-me-oh-my and just how cute are these two?! Plus, there’s a zebra. It doesn’t get any better than that. There’s more right this way in THE VAULT.

From The Bride…David and I met back in high school when we both worked at a local sub shop, Jersey Mike’s. We immediately had a connection and I always knew in the back of my mind that one day we would spend the rest of our lives together. David proposed on the beach at sunset, where we had one of our first dates. He planned a romantic picnic on the beach and even asked my best friends to secretly capture photos of it all and then surprise me afterwards. It was one of the happiest moments of my life that I will never forget!
We immediately knew the Garden setting at Saddlerock Ranch was the perfect place to get married, among rolling hills, vineyards, white picket fences, ancient oak trees, horses, exotic animals and magical hanging lights in the trees. We wanted to celebrate our special day alongside our closest friends and family in an environment that portrayed our own personal styles and interests. We also wanted it to feel like a backyard wedding, where our guests could feel comfortable playing lawn games and making s’mores, while enjoying the spectacular scenery. Since the location already has so many rustic elements, we wanted a crystal chandelier above the dance floor to add romance and elegance. We also picked out vintage furniture to add some decorative flair and character.
We loved every aspect of the planning process and in particular, taking on so many DIY projects, from making our own place cards and centerpiece boxes to the lawn games and signs. I have a passion for crafting and painting, so we added personalized touches everywhere we could. We asked David’s dad to officiate our marriage and it was very special having him by our side as we read our own vows to each other. Our parents and siblings surprised us with the most entertaining, creative and genuine toasts, that all had a musical theme. The entire day felt like a dream come true!
We are so grateful for our amazing and talented team of vendors who exceeded our expectations and made our vision come to life! Our planner, Laurel Szeto, facilitated every aspect of the planning process and flawlessly executed our entire day due to her vast experience and knowledge. We also want to express our sincerest gratitude to our talented and creative photographers, John and Marlene of Koman Photography, and our videographers, Mason and Savannah Summers (Anchor Pictures) for being such a joy to work with, capturing our wedding day better than we could have ever imagined and allowing us to relive one of the best days of our lives!
