From Anne Barge… Laura Benanti, Supergirl and Nashville actress, was married in a private ceremony at Riverside Church in New York City this past Sunday, November 15th.
Benanti wed beau Patrick Brown in a strapless, Alençon lace Anne Barge gown from Mark Ingram Atelier. I am a longtime fan of Benanti – from her Tony Award-winning performance in Gypsy – and was overjoyed to have Laura in one of my designs.
On stands in People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive Issue, I revealed my well wishes for the newlyweds. “Laura is exactly the type of bride that inspires me. She is a timeless beauty with a vibrant spirit. I was thrilled to have her in my gown and wish Laura and Patrick a lifetime of happiness together.”
The intimate ceremony and reception included family, friends, and close colleagues, including fellow actors Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Connie Britton, Celia Keenan-Bolger, John Ellison Conlee, Michael Arden, Julie White, and Chelsea Nachman. Musical theatre writer and performer Todd Almond sang his song “Take Good Care of Me” for the couple during the church ceremony.
