Real Housewives of Orange County Tamra Barney's Wedding

If you know anything about Team SMP, you know we consider The Real Housewives a top guilty pleasure. It's the reality show we can't stop watching, so to say we're excited to dive into Tamra Barney's lavish "I do" is one serious understatement. With Diann Valentine Living Well by her side and Christine Bentley behind the camera, Tamra pulled off an amazing day fit for the camera crews. Take a look back at her California nuptials below!
From Diann Valentine Living Well... When I first met Tamra Barney, I knew immediately that she wanted to have a wedding that was a lot of fun. Tamra is a fun-loving, brutally honest woman who lives her life out loud and just happens to live in on television. We hit the ground running with less than two months of planning to get it all done with Bravo’s cameras in tow.
Tamra told me that she ultimately decided to take this journey with me because she did not want the traditional wedding but rather was looking for a truly unique experience. She expressed her love of neutrals and simply said make it beautiful! I enlisted Justin Howard to take on the florals for the wedding, and we talked about both the couple, and Eddie's love of cycling. Justin had the brilliant idea of painting a bicycle gold and using it as a chandelier for the ceremony.
Hundreds of hydrangeas, chandeliers and a fabric treatment were installed, and it was the perfect combination of glamour and edge for their ceremony. The morning of her wedding, I surprised Tamra with what I hoped would be one of her favorite things from the wedding. Just minutes before the ceremony started, I delivered her a custom Valentine Cuff.
The reception was my playground to have fun. The Judge’s have a large group of friends that enjoy a good time so I wanted to create small pods of seating arrangements where all of these individual parties would come to live. Therefore, one singular dining table comprised of 4 - 60” square tables to seat 20 people with three 7ft. stall cherry blossom trees in the center of each table to balance the massive center area on each table. The custom table linens in shades of taupe, ivory and champagne were inspired by the custom Mark Zunino gowns she wore.
Thousands of yards of tulle, grommets, laser cut patterns, buckles and brooches adorned the custom tablecloths, table caps and varying chair covers. Eclectic lounge groupings in the same palette were interspersed within the ballroom for a constant flow of formal and informal seating arrangements encouraging more mingling throughout the evening.

A mercury glass dance floor sat in the middle of the room with a suspended cake stand strung using crystal ropes that sat 30 inches off the ground accented with a few strands of oversized pearls. Placing it in the center of the room deliberately on the dance floor was a risky but well-calculated interruption for each guest as they entered the room.
Tamra and Eddie’s wedding was the most fun I had that year and still laugh out loud every time I think of the moment when Tamra and Eddie were preparing to cut the cake. Tamra ran up on it, pulled the cake stand back as far as she could and let it go. I knew our cake stand was secure and it wouldn’t break, but for a moment I thought about the mess I would have to clean up if that gorgeous cake went flying in the air. Thankfully, the cake gods were on our side that night.

Aside from the typical major family fight at the rehearsal dinner, the 50 person TV production crew, and the wedding cake that almost went flying across the room, it was just your average, gorgeous, Saturday night!
