DIY: Bachelorette Party Goodie Bags

When it comes to wedding festivities you know we’re all about the details big and small. So, when my newly engaged friend celebrated her “last fling before the ring,” I knew some adorable DIY party favors were in order. From pint sized bubbly from Sofia Coppola Champagne, to adorable “Hello Pretty” Tote Bags and coordinating eye masks from Plum Pretty Sugar and cute Love + Lion tattoos, get inspired to create your own DIY Bachelorette Bags below!

Start with your overall budget and work backwards per bag. That will help you determine what you can include. For smaller parties you can spend a little more than larger ones, and vice versa. To get the party started I splurged on cute little cans of Sofia Coppola Champagne – not only are these little can of fizz delish, but they’re also super easy to tuck into our Plum Pretty Sugar tote. I tied each can with a black and white bow and a cute straw, and overall I felt like it captured the sentiment of the weekend perfectly – #worthit! Adding some bling to beverages were the temporary tattoos from Love + Lion that served as a glittery emblem of the night to come!

What’s a party without confetti?!? I made homemade confetti with leftover tissue paper that I had. Want the look? Easy peasy – just cut tissue paper into strips, then into smaller pieces. You probably want to do this while watching something good on TV because it’s a process, but it ended up saving me money and reusing something I already had on hand.

When building out your goodie bag, aim to tell a story with each piece. For example, donuts for late at night, sleep mask + Advil for the early risers, little packs of candy for daytime travels, a champagne to toast and tattoos just for fun and a confetti popper for the bachelorette’s head. Which sounded dirtier than it was :) Each piece had a purpose and helped tell the weekend story.

For late-night munching, serve up packable (and snackable) sweets we purchased grocery store items (Entenmann’s donuts, gummy rings, Advil, etc), but repackaged it all in cute containers with custom labels. To make each piece cohesive, we branded with our own DIY packaging (we made on our home printer (using 8.5 x 11″ label paper and a cute font). We used clear containers + DIY labels + black and white washi tape. Something as simple as a color or a stripe can bring all of the pieces together to make it feel succinct and branded, the whole thing felt like it was made by a pro.
