I don’t think I’ve ever seen a first look as cute as this one. Because really, what’s better than a Groom who does this upon seeing his stunning Bride? Melted. Their blush-sprinkled day, planned and designed by Lindsey Farrell of Kelley Cannon Events, is my recipe for happiness today. Caroline Yoon has tucked so much more pretty away for us in THE VAULT.
From the Bride, Christine… Jay and I have always enjoyed the outdoors together, and I had a growing love for big beautiful trees. This allowed us to know that we wanted an outdoor wedding early in our planning process. After a challenging search, we found the perfect venue in Rust Manor House in Leesburg, Virginia. It was close enough to the city, where most of our guests would be coming from, but still provided the natural setting we were looking for. From the moment we walked through the grounds, we fell in love with the place.
From there, the rest of our wedding vision started to take place. We wanted our wedding day to reflect our love for each other and the thankful hearts we had for our family and closest friends. Most important was that our guests had a good time and felt like they were partaking in a fun celebratory party with us! We dreamed of an intimate, romantic, and timeless wedding with soft hues of blush and ivory. Our ceremony was held in the garden and our reception took place under the candlelit tent. Fully knowing we were taking a risk with an outdoor summer wedding, I was not surprised when the forecast predicted rain. But as our wedding time drew near, the skies cleared up, and it turned out to be the most perfect warm, yet breezy afternoon!
There were so many special moments, but my favorite memory was exchanging our personal vows with each other in front of the people we love the most. Jay’s vow was so sincere and moving, I will never forget how blessed I felt!
We were so excited to have the talented Caroline Yoon Photography capture all the moments from our big day and work with our amazing wedding planner, Lindsey Farrell from Kelley Cannon Events. Thanks to our wonderful family, friends, and all of our awesome vendors our wedding day was truly everything we could possibly have hoped for and more!
