My world is currently revolving around this born to be ogled wedding. Because you see, when two wedding industry professionals plan a celebration that’s all their own, well let’s just say you know you’re in for a gallery goldmine. Straight from the lens of Katy Gray Photography, these college sweethearts promised their forever in a ceremony that you’re going to go gaga for. See it all unfold in THE VAULT!
From The Bride…My fiance Tim Woodland drove a truck 37 hours solo from Charleston, South Carolina to Jackson Hole, Wyoming in two days to deliver the tent to Snake River Sporting Club where we were married on August 8, 2015! Tim is Managing Partner of Sperry Tents Southeast, the Charleston, South Carolina operation of the sail cloth tent company, and I (Rebecca) am a wedding coordinator based in Charleston, South Carolina.
How did we get together? Tim and I are both New Yorkers, but we became college sweethearts at James Madison University in Virginia, and ventured down to Charleston SC after graduation to start our entrepreneurial careers in the events industry. When it came time to say our own vows, we decided to experience yet another part of the country! Since weddings are what we do for a living, we were determined to do something different: A destination adventure with an outdoors, athletic vibe that allowed us to experience a long wedding weekend celebration with our closest family and friends. We chose Jackson Hole WY, a place neither us nor our families had been before!
It was so nice to be able to plan and design my own wedding, and it was just as wonderful being the bride as I had imagined! An intimate ceremony during which we read letters we’d written to one another, followed by a dinner reception and dancing for our 55 guests overlooking the Snake River in Bridger-Teton National Forest. We chose details that helped to tell our story: Jackson Hole Survival welcome boxes tied with leather ribbon; cocktail hour featuring a local Spicy Margarita paired with a southern-inspired Biscuit bar; tables set with mismatched vintage china; cowhide chairs driven out from Charleston and a cozy lounge delivered from Montana.
As for my dress, I wore Sareh Nouri’s Allie sweetheart trumpet bridal gown with soft leavers lace and beautiful detailed buttons …I loved it at first sight when I tried it on at Maddison Row in Charleston. Happily, so did my fiance at our first look! His two older brothers and my older sister, Cammie Erickson, (who, coincidentally, was married on the east coast this same weekend one year earlier), were perfect as our attendants.
We could not be happier with the memories we made celebrating the beginning of our lives together with family and friends in Jackson Hole!
