Monday nights are for Dancing With the Stars, but this particular Monday we’ve got something extra special on the agenda. Because when DWTS pro Lindsay Arnold and her high school sweetie, Sam Cusick tied the knot, their wedding planner Danielle Rothweiler knew their day was simply made for the pages of SMP. From Lindsay… My high school sweetheart, Sam Cusick popped the question while we were on vacation in Africa and, of course, that was easiest and most rewarding “yes”!! When people say their wedding day is the best day of their life they are not kidding. Everything from planning each little detail to experiencing the finished product made me the happiest girl in the world.
Our wedding was very vintage chic inspired with ombré shades of pink for our bridesmaid dresses matched with dark blue suits for the groomsmen. I am still in love with my wedding dress that was a cream and champagne lace trumpet gown, it was exactly what I had imagined in my mind when I was looking for dresses. When I found it, I just knew it was the one!
Getting to marry my love, Sam, was the most fulfilling and amazing experience and I am so grateful to everyone who helped make our dream day come true. The best advice I can give to future brides and grooms is to enjoy every second and focus on each other! The day will fly by faster than ever, so don’t let the stress of the day get away with you. Be in the moment and enjoy this incredible day with your forever best friend that you will never forget!
From Danielle Rothweiler of Rothweiler Event Design… Dancing with Stars pro, Lindsay Arnold, got married to her high school sweetheart, Sam Cusick, on June 18, 2015 in both Salt Lake City and Orem, Utah. Her Mormon ceremony took place in Salt Lake City at the temple and her reception for her guests was hosted by Sleepy Ridge. A ring ceremony took place outdoors prior to dinner, and guests danced the night away while enjoying a 5 tier cake and an array of desserts.
Obviously, with a guest list and a bridal party full of DWTS cast members, dancing was very impressive all night! The bride knew the colors she wanted right from the moment we started planning, and we wanted to shake things up by putting her bridesmaids in different colors…an idea that she loved! Sam and Lindsay are everything you want your couples to be as a wedding planner: sweet, kind, gracious and completely in love with each other. They are what marriage is all about.
