Stylish + Chic Dallas Engagement Session

All newly engaged ladies, take note! THIS is how you do a super stylish e-shoot to remember. With a variety of perfectly on point looks, this Bride-to-be showed off her innate chicness and of course, her affection for her handsome Groom-to-be. Nicole Berrett captured every new outfit and every sweet kiss in between; see them all from top to bottom in our VAULT right this way!

From Nicole Berrett Photography… This couple is the perfect example for what to wear for your engagement session!! All the way from the gorgeous dresses Jessica wore and perfect hair and makeup by Beauty & the Blush…to the beautiful florals by Everly Alaine Florals…to the one who stole the show, Chester the Corgi in his adorable bow tie.

From the Bride-to-be… When I envisioned my engagement session, I pictured three things: long flowing dresses, beautiful florals, and of course, my precious dog. As most ladies do, we love feeling glamorous and sparkly, which led to my first dress choice! Wearing the Badgley Mischka dress was so much fun, and I truly felt so elegant and lady-like! Though, the second dress was probably my favorite. I felt so sophisticated in the black illusion pattern, loved the shape, and next to my fiancé in a light grey suit jacket and khakis, this combination was probably my favorite. Of course, I had to end with an easy-going Anthropologie dress, then putting JJ in something more casual. I felt like each of the three outfits stood out in their own way, and I wish I could dress up and wear them again!

Flowers are going to be a huge part of my wedding, so I knew I couldn’t have my engagement session without somehow involving them. Everly Alaine truly blew me away with the bouquet she created, and it complemented our outfits flawlessly. I also wanted the light, girly feel of wearing flowers in my hair, and the hair accessory she created was one of my favorite aspects of the session.

And of course, my precious corgi Chester completely stole the show. As Chester is essentially JJ and I’s child, we knew he had to be involved and included in our pictures. He absolutely loved being in the session, he ended up being so photogenic, and absolutely stole the show! He even knows how to smile and pose for the camera, he was such a joy in our session!

All in all, it is my amazing team that gave me the engagement session of my dreams. Beauty and the Blush Artistry did my hair and makeup, and I absolutely adored being dolled up. Everly Alaine delivered the most elegant, lush florals a girl could ask for, and made the session that much prettier. And of course, Nicole Berrett is just a rockstar at what she does. I’ve always known I wanted a film photographer for my wedding journey, and Nicole does nothing less than deliver the dreamiest of photos to her clients, and our engagement session would not have been the same without her. JJ and I are so grateful to everyone that made our engagement session come true.

To any future brides, do not be afraid to splurge and spoil yourself for your engagement session! You only get to do these pictures once, and with that mindset, I had no problem investing a lot into this session! Renting the particular dresses I wanted, having my hair/makeup professionally done, and having the florals may not have been necessary, but it’s what I have always dreamed of, and I am beyond happy with the result of our pictures. You are only engaged once, so make it count, and make your wedding dreams come true!
