From Kristina Malmqvist...Coral and peach ran throughout the entire event space, from the lantern wedding centerpiece on each dinner table to the flowers on the wooden arch for ceremony, flowers on the cake, dresses for the bridesmaid's and ties for the best men.

From The Bride...We wanted to share our true love with family and friends on a destination wedding. Since 2011 our favorite holiday destination have been Croatia. Each year we have gone back and spend more than 3 weeks on many islands outside of Split. Hvar became our favorite island. We love the light in Hvar – it is creamy and sexy. Hvar has so much to offer for those looking for culture, old world romance and breathtaking coastal views. Hvar is simply the idyllic romantic island with amazing coastal water, beautiful lavender fields to olive groves and vineyards.

It was love at the first sight when we both visited “bonj les Bains” during our first trip to Croatia. This architectural jewel with white stone colonnade from 1927 on two floors reflects sophisticated elegance and luxury by the sea. In 2011 during our first drink at “bonj les Bians” we both agreed this was THE perfect place for wedding.

In 2014 when Pontus proposed to Giselle they started to talk about destination wedding in Hvar at “bonj les Bains”. And a year later they flew over from Sweden and at “Bonj les Bains” with family and friends by their side, they said “I do”.

We were looking for sophisticated blend of both modern and classic elegance with a dash of romance. Since the architectural of our venue was made of white stone by tranquil blue water of Hvar, we found coral and peach the perfect contrast to the turquoise water and the venue. We chose a lovely color palette consisting of corals, peach, yellow and blush along with hint of white and green to create an atmosphere of modern romance. Peach and blush has its softer touch and suits well for the feminine and graceful look. With a mix of poppy corals, it completes the looks of a romantic and timeless wedding.

To correspond to our wedding color palette, we requested specific dress code to our wedding guests. Dress code indicated to only wear light and poppy colors – simply no black or darker shades of any color was allowed!

As bride with my white dress, I was a contrast to my bridesmaids dresses. So I wanted same contrast for our bouquets. I wanted them to carry white crispy gypsophilia bouquets matching my white dress. And I wanted colorful bouquet matching their dresses and our wedding color palette. My bouquet was made of poppy corals and peaches – just striking!

For our wedding we always wanted round tables with crispy white linens for tables and chairs since we believe it brings sophisticated look. Our idea was to have clean table set-up by having one “core” centerpiece on each table. For us lanterns would represent the sea and since we were having our wedding “on the sea” we had to have lanterns. So our talented floral designer Diana Medak had lanterns incorporated beautifully in the floral centerpiece on each table. The lanterns brought nice light to each table. To soften the feeling, we used smaller candles and softer blush for our wedding stationery made by talented Rose Murphy behind Rose and Ruby Paper Co. Romantic coral and peach was a must-have color for us and was brought out in the bridesmaids’ dresses and most of the floral design. We wanted 2 arches to be made, one on the upper floor for our ceremony and one on the lower floor to be displayed behind us while sitter at our table.

Looking back, we are so in love with all the details, and are proud of how it all came together.
