From LolumaThe style shoot entitled “Entangled” was inspired by our selected venue, Runnymede Plantation. The property’s rich history is apparent through the remains of a house burned and rebuilt three times since the early 1700’s, as well as the more than one thousand year old Angel Oak in the center of the property. This iconic tree seemed the perfect haven to embrace a post nuptial, intimate gathering and dinner. It’s grandiose and twisted branches creating the perfect environment for both the enchanting dining table and the opulent groom’s lounge and bourbon bar.

To set off the style, a collection of textures and materials were utilized, ranging from light drift wood tables and Marie Antoinette chairs, mixed with luminescent crystal and light grey/lavender laces, bronze metallics and white washed iron. Adding pops of deep burgandy discernible in the bride’s dramatic make up, flowers and lounge area rug. We utilized the grand oak to its fullest, hanging focal points over each area surrounding the massive trunk on all sides.

The long dining table, set perfectly under the canopy of branches so long, they fall to the ground, was set under crystal bird cages and a sweeping drape of lace. The twisted bronze and silver flatware, cut work ceramic chargers and lavender lace napkins accented with vintage style brooches, set up each place setting perfectly. The centrescapes in vintage silver, depict a garden whimsy of kale, ivy, and confederate jasmine vines accented with maiden hair fern. Entwined in the greens flowers in creams and deep reds included stock, kangaroo paw, agapanthus, green cymbidium orchids and complimenting garden roses.

Additional areas housed around the perimeter of the tree included unique industrial style lighted letters spelling out LOVE and a glass top for displaying the bronze tiered cake. Accenting this area hung a lace drum shade chandelier and a floating gold framed mirror. Walking further around guests discovered the groom’s lounge and bourbon bar, featuring stylized flax colored, tufted lounge pieces set atop a deep red, ornate area rug.

The bride and groom’s attire pulled everything together perfectly. The bride wore a Sarah Janks gown that was a natural flowing, drop waist fit with shimmering beaded silk chiffon and pin tuck. A gathering of delicate appliqué flowers set off the natural surroundings and punctuated the deep V-neckline. The groom complimented with a Brooks Brothers Suit tuxedo in classic black and a modern, clean fit. The bride carrying a lush petite bouquet of tricolor gerberas, bouvardia, spray roses and a center of hydrangea accent with bupleurum, while the groom complimented her with a boutonniere of a single rose, veronica and wax flower.

The romance and mystery of the property became even more apparent as the night fell and the decorative lighting took effect.
