Simple + Romantic Summer Wedding in the Adirondacks
This lakeside wedding is totally to-die-for. From The Bride... Simple and romantic is the best way to describe our wedding inspiration. We love hiking and skiing in the Adirondacks, and knew the gorgeous scenery of Lake George would be the perfect setting. We were incredibly lucky to have such a perfect, bluebird day. Since we had a June wedding, we went with a pink, champagne, and navy color scheme, with lots of pops of pink and white flowers. To me, pink peonies are one of the most whimsical wedding flowers, I used them as frequently as I could!
Caleb knew that he wanted a hand hammered rose gold wedding band from the beginning. We searched for months and couldn't find what he wanted, so we had it custom made at a local shop in Hoboken. Since my engagement ring was my grandmother's and vintage, I had an impossible time matching bands to it... and I loved Caleb's so much that he had a second band made for me to match!
Seeing each other before the wedding during our First Look was an absolutely incredible experience. It was so nice to have a special moment to ourselves before the ceremony and reception with friends and family. Later on, the DJ ended up playing a faster version of our father-daughter dance song, but we improvised... and it ending up being an incredibly fun and memorable moment with my dad.
