From The Bride... Evan proposed the night before Thanksgiving. We always go out to the bars with all of our friends who are back in town at this time every year, so he thought it would be a fun night to be able to celebrate with our friends. Evan had made dinner reservations and we were on our way when he pulled over at Bronson Park downtown. I asked him what we were doing and he said we were going to take a walk. I knew he was going to propose, and I know he knew I knew that he was going to propose! I think it made us both weirdly nervous! We just walked around the park in circles until Evan finally got the courage to get down on one knee. It was really perfect. There were a few people in the park that clapped when he was done. Then we walked to the restaurant and had a wonderful dinner, followed by drinks with both of our families! Then the bar with our friends! It was a fun night.
From Paige Gabert... Sarah and Evan were a wedding client dream the moment I met them. We sat outside of Founder's Brewing in Grand Rapids, Michigan, drank beer, and chatted for hours. They were both such a happy, fun, loving couple. I knew that their wedding day would be nothing but fantastic. And it really was.
Sarah and Evan were married inside of the absolutely beautiful Stanton Chapel, in Kalamazoo. The windows of the chapel were a photographer's dream, and their family and friends were so welcoming. They had a sweet ceremony, where they both expressed their love for one another, and afterwards they shared a moment in the backroom beside the doors exiting the ceremony.
Their reception was inside of the Kalamazoo Institute of Art, which is a really cool building, filled with art, color, large windows in the ceiling, and sculptures. There was a garden to the side of the building, where there was a photo booth, and a beer tent. Pretty much everything you needed for a great night. They shared their first dance, and dances with their mother, and father's in the center of the building, under a beautiful glass art piece, surrounded by everyone they loved and cared about. It was truly a magical day.
