It’s just not a weekday morning unless I’ve read my cheeky news recap from theSkimm. So when Olivia Leigh sent the photos of co-founder, Danielle’s stunning Chicago wedding, we happily obliged to share. North Shore Weddings & Events didn’t disappoint with a city-chic-meets-rustic-cool vibe, and transformed a spacious loft into the most cozy of receptions. Get your inspiration fix inside The Vault.
From Olivia Leigh… Danielle and Adam were married over Labor Day weekend in a day that was a perfect blend of beauty and celebration! After a year of rainy weekends, they were graced with beautiful blue skies and perfect temperatures that welcomed this NYC couple back to Danielle’s hometown of Chicago.
The couple did a first look, seeing each other in a park in the Gold Coast where Danielle used to play as a child. Megan Estrada of North Shore Weddings and Events and Yanni Design Studio transformed the raw loft space at Bridgeport Art Center into a romantic space that blended rustic and glamorous elements, with sweeping fabric, candlelight and lush greenery.
Another special touch was a gospel choir that sang as Danielle walked down the aisle with her father, a moment that I think gave goosebumps to everyone! After recessing down the aisle to another song by the choir, the evening’s fun continued, with incredible food by Entertaining Company, a first dance featuring lifts and spins that made for such fabulous moments to capture, and some of the best toasts I have ever heard in almost 10 years of shooting weddings! Guests celebrated late into the night, enjoying great music, food and a Chicago-New York themed candy bar.
