How did you get into wedding photography?


I have always had a passion for photography however; specifically fell in love with wedding photography because it's a always a challenge to create a story/perspective with one chance to do so for a couple.  I apprenticed under a well-known photographer for 3 years in 2011 and never looked back.

What's your personal motto, or a phrase that inspires you creatively?


Creativity creates courage.

Can you describe your aesthetic in three words?


Purpose, Simplicity, and Emotion.

What are three things you can't live without?


Faith, Family, and Fun.

Where do you find inspiration?


In my quiet time and in my marriage every day to my beautiful wife Theresa.  I believe if you are intentional with your quiet time and marriage, inspiration should always come.

What's your favorite social media platform?


Instagram.

What is a photography detail that often gets overlooked, that you wish got more attention in the planning process?


Venue/Room shots.

What do you think is the most important question a client can ask, when deciding who to hire for their wedding's photographer?


Does my wedding vision fit your style and vision?  Not every photographer style and personality will fit with a client and it works the other as well.

What's been your proudest professional accomplishment as a wedding photographer?


Being voted one of the top wedding photography vendor in the DC/MD/VA for 2015 by The Knot brides and vendor panel.

When you're not working, what do you like to do for fun?


Spending quality time with my family and listening to good music.
