The creative combination of rustic and vintage styles seems to go together oh so well, and yet, we don’t see it all that often, so a big thank you to Morgan G Photography for sharing these pretty pics from her styled shoot with Vision in White Events. With Bella Figura’s fun invites and menus and these bright autumn blooms, our VAULT just got a stylish little update – see it all right this way!
From Morgan G. Photography… We began planning for this shoot with the intent that we would be mixing both vintage and rustic elements and the setting of Iriswoods did not disappoint. We based our vintage look off the 1850s log cabin that is nestled away in the woods just outside of Nashville, TN. The cabin is stunning and features a luxurious bridal suite that our bride used to prepare for the photos. We used the tall grass and old barn at the far end of the property to create a rustic atmosphere.
We wanted this couple to take us on a trip to a time long ago. Our bride creates a timeless look with her red lips and refined gold heels. She is in a Watters Wtoo silk, hand embroidered, organza gown featuring an illusion neckline. Her lovely bouquet designed by Belles Fleurs features vivid red, yellow, green, and orange tones to add warmth for fall.
To add to the vintage motif we used decor from Two Monkeys Vintage. We featured a green Victorian couch and a classic game of croquet. Our table was composed of an old barn door and then topped with a collection of vintage, mismatched china. Gold accents were added in the form of chargers, vases, and flatware to create an elegant touch. We displayed extra dishes in an old wooden crate and we hung a whitewashed lantern from a tree branch above our table to add light. Although the naked cake is a newer wedding trend, we loved the simplicity of this cake and the way it complemented our rustic details. Overall, we left this shoot feeling as though we had taken a trip to another century.
