Chic Southern Engagement Session
As a longtime lover of hats, one glance at this engagement shoot by Nicole Berrett and I was hooked. Disclaimer aside, these pretty pics are what I like to refer to as "holiday card worthy," full of sweet kisses and cute smiles that are guaranteed to give this adorable couple and all their friends and family heart eyes every time they take a look. Hop into our VAULT and see what I'm talkin' about!
From Nicole Berrett Photography... This couple really wanted something classic and timeless for their engagement session, and I just love the way it all came together!!
From the future Bride and Groom... Aaron and I were introduced through mutual friends while attending school at The University of Texas at Tyler. I was a freshman on the softball team, and Aaron was a junior on the baseball team.
The first time we met we were instantly attracted to each other and had chemistry that was undeniable. We both have very strong personalities so the conversation was endless. Ashley was just gorgeous and had this confidence about her that drove me crazy! When I finally got to know her on a more intimate level, I found out that not only was she a looker, but an absolute sweetheart as well!
Four and a half years later, Aaron had graduated from college and I was in my last semester of nursing school we decided to take the next big step in our relationship!
The proposal was something out of a fairy tale. Aaron put so much thought and love into how he was going to pop the question, and I replay that day over and over every day. It was on his birthday and we made plans to go out to dinner with our friends, but before dinner he had scheduled pictures to be taken of me in the Arts District in Dallas for my nursing “graduation pictures.” Little did I know that the pictures were not for graduation, but a clever way to capture the perfect moment when he got down on a knee. After the sweetest moment of our lives we took pictures to celebrate and he had a horse drawn carriage pick us up and take us to dinner, where there was a surprise engagement party with tons of family and friends waiting to celebrate our love. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world to have everyone I love in the same room at the same time!
As soon as it came time to pick our vendors there was no question on who I wanted to choose as our photographer, or in Aaron's words, ”Ashley always has to have the best of the best,” which is why we decided to go with NICOLE BERRETT. She is a doll and truly an artist that captures flawless pictures. We could not have asked for a better fit for our style, from a little black dress paired with a formal groom, to a more Southern charm styled shoot. We are forever grateful for Nicole because she gave us some of the most beautiful moments and photos that will cherish forever! We can not thank you enough Nicole! You are the BEST!
