These two? They've got the kind of love that you could bottle up and watch it glow for eternity. High school sweethearts who built a friendship and a love for ten years before they said their I do's, it's no wonder I can feel my heart swell with every glance at Justine Milton's imagery of their Big Day. Thankfully, I can get a dose of that goodness any time I want, right here in THE VAULT.
From the Bride...Mike and I are started dating in grade 10 and after ten wonderful years we got married at a golf course with a beautiful view of the mountains. We spend so much of our time outdoors enjoying the lakes, forests and mountains in Alberta and around the world. So when it came to planning our wedding the only thing for certain was we wanted to keep it relaxed, simple but beautiful and portray our love of the outdoors. My favourite part of the day was exchanging of the vows. We decided to write our own and keep them a surprise until the day. I had to go first because I’m a huge crier and we all figured I would not make it through mine after listening to Mikes, and we were not wrong! I was so blown away by what he said and really could feel the love behind every word. It is something I will never forget and was the perfect way to start a marriage together.
From the Groom...While it is so hard to pick just one moment, I would have to say the speeches were a definitely one of my favourites. Everyone had such amazing things to say, they were funny, they brought up fond memories, and we could really feel the love. We are so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing family and friends and we were just excited to share this with everyone. While we did not have great weather, not even the rain could put a damper on our wedding. It was exactly what we had envisioned and it was the perfect day to celebrate with all our loved ones.
