Classic + Elegant Lavender Farm Wedding
This wedding took place in California, but it has me dreaming of running through lavender fields in Provence. That's not going to happen, but this day is definitely the next best thing. From the magic golden hour lighting, captured by Brooke Beasley Photography, to the Bride's stunning Mira Bridal Couture wedding dress, it's safe to say you're going to fall in love with every detail of this gorgeous day. See it all in THE VAULT!
From The Bride...Josh and I met in college after a few scheduling mix-up's put both of us into a freshman health class--he was a junior, I was a freshman. While we still argue over who suggested we meet up outside of that romantic health class setting (it was me), we finally had our first date just before Christmas of 2008.
SIX years later we were driving up to Pride Mountain Vineyards in St. Helena for what I thought was going to be a day of wine tasting to celebrate my graduation from my Master’s program. Josh had other plans. He had driven up to St. Helena the week before to meet with staff at Pride and plan out a proposal. He had also spoken with our parents and my sister weeks before about his proposal plans—I can’t believe they kept that secret. After an incredible private tour and tasting, we walked out onto a beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyards. Josh suggested that we take a few photos and as he said “how about just one more” to our guide-turned-photographer, I saw him reach for the ring box. I’m so glad we have photos to remember that moment.
Our venue, Pageo Lavender Farm, gave us exactly what we wanted: a day that was timeless, romantic, and full of personal details. Our communion table was covered with handkerchiefs from our grandmothers’ collections, I wore earrings borrowed from my mom, and our wedding cake was surrounded by six photo strips—each photo strip holding photos from every year that we had been together—our own timeline. From the moment we arrived to begin getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite to our sparkler getaway, Pageo made the intimate and romantic feel we were trying to create for our friends and family possible.
