To be honest, there are so many vendor talents behind this wedding, I don’t even know where to start. From the incredible ’20’s-inspired design by Jill & Co Events + Mindy Rice, to the amazing beauty crew from TEAM to our dear friends Jose Villa + Elysium Productions who captured the day so beautifully it’ll bring you to tears. Think black tie formality with a decidedly vintage vibe, and you can scroll to your heart’s desire inside our inspiration hub, THE VAULT.

From Jill & Co. Events… Mandy and Justin were looking for a local venue that matched their personalities, and offered a nod to the 20’s era – a decadent time that evoked celebration, all starting with the vintage ring that Justin asked Mandy to marry him with. Dos Pueblos Ranch, Casa Grande, offered that perfect backdrop of a local spot that brought you back to a time of past, where celebration was inevitable.
The invitation suite, which we designed with Tracy of Lazaro Press and Design gave guests the first hint of what they were to experience for M&J’s wedding weekend. The golden envelopes with white calligraphy where a beautiful way to set the stage.
Mandy, the bride, along with her sister, Corinne, who has a long history in the fashion industry, designed the bridal gown and separate lace overlay, that was custom made by Patricia of The Perfect Fit in Montecito with french lace hand selected by the bride and her sister from a company that also supplies to Gucci and Lanvin.
We worked with Mindy Rice design to spruce up the property and evoke the magic of a 20’s soiree that Mandy and Justin could have thrown at their home 100 years ago. The ceremony was set in the gardens adjacent to the house, guests sat on beautiful benches, and Mandy processed up a fern strewn aisle to meet her groom under a canopy draped in soft gauzy material, tied back with gorgeous floral tie backs. The wedding party stunned in black tie, the ladies all in self selected black gowns holding the most stunning bouquets dripping with ribbon.
Cocktail hour took place in the most magical place on the property, a dilapidated greenhouse that Mindy and her team along with Zephyr Tents crew restored back to new. The ceilings were dripping with ferns, the ground was completely covered in new grass, and sweet seating vignettes offered guests a pause in the theme of the afternoon provided by Classic Party Rentals of Santa Barbara. Guests were refreshed by the champagne towers and specialty cocktails provided by The Grand Bevy out of Los Angeles, while New West Catering provided decadent oysters on ice, and other local delicacies, such as shrimp cocktail and local uni.
When it was time to move to the reception, guests passed by the abundant cherimoya orchards on site, and meandered along a pathway built by the Zephyr team through 100 year old Moreton Bay Fig trees to a sailcloth tent on the grand meadow in front of the Casa Grande. Guests found their seats by picking up the golden edged glass boxed with their seating assignments hand calligraphed and filled with fresh cut ferns.
The reception tent was an airy space filled with ivory linens from La Tavola as well as custom pieces and creamy floral centerpieces from Mindy Rice’s team. When designing this space, the bride made a point to keep it light and creamy, as it would be the last time they could get away with white everywhere with their little one on the way! Guests feasted on a 4 course meal by New West paired with wines from the grooms label, Tyler Winery, as well as the bride’s family vineyard, Grassini Family Vineyards. Dancing quickly ensued, due to the beats of DJ Nahchey Storer of Dash Entertainment, and when it was time to cut the cake, a magnum bottle of vintage champagne was sabered by the groom himself.
