Romantic Laguna Beach Engagement Session

There’s no doubt that engagements like this one are all the more special because of the amazing photographers behind the lens. In this case? Our friends at Koman Photography, who crank out more pretty than we can keep up with. But at the heart of those love sessions live couples who are true to themselves, like Chris and Sarah. Lovers of the outdoors, the vast Pacific scenery, boba and macarons, they centered their engagement around a few things they love the most. See more in THE VAULT.

From Koman PhotographyWe are so fortunate to be Chris and Sarah’s wedding photographers. They are two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet! Their love for each other shines and we are so grateful we get to tell a story of their love through our photos!

From The Bride…Chris and I first met in Berkeley during the USC vs Cal football weekender (go Trojans!). Although we were on opposing sides, we surprisingly had a really fun weekend together filled with lots of laughter. It wasn’t until 5 years later when our friendship turned into something more, but even then, not much had changed. We continued to laugh at everything and anything, with each other and at each other. After 2.5 fun filled years of dating, Chris surprised me at the beach and asked me to marry him. On day one (and for many years following that), I never expected Chris to be “the one,” but today, I can’t imagine it being anyone else.

For our engagement shoot, we wanted a fun, romantic setting that captured who we are as a couple. We love being outdoors and fell in love with the beautiful natural setting at Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park. Also, we got engaged at the beach so we knew we had to incorporate the vast Pacific into our session. We wanted to incorporate some of our favorite things so we gathered our favorite drinks (boba, of course) and favorite desserts (you can never go wrong with macarons) for our intimate picnic. One of our more recent hobbies we picked up was biking together so we wanted to capture this new adventure as well. The entire day was so much fun for us both and as Marlene showed us a couple previews throughout the day, we were simply blown away by her amazing talent. Everything came together perfectly and we can’t thank Koman Photography enough for capturing these special moments so beautifully.
