From The Bride...Jason and I knew that when we got married, we wanted it to be an adventure. During our seven years of dating, we were lucky enough to travel to some incredible places. But when we vacationed in Italy, it simply stole our hearts.
Thirty of our closest family and friends flew to Positano, a stunning town built into the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, to watch us exchange vows in a centuries-old church by the sea. After an afternoon ceremony on a gorgeous late-spring day, we meandered along the town’s cobblestone streets to the beach while Italians clapped and cheered “auguri!” or “congratulations!”
Our loved ones gathered for cocktail hour, where they sipped prosecco, dined on arancini (traditional Italian fried rice balls stuffed with cheese) and listened to an instrumental Neapolitan duo perform.
Just as the sun began to set, our guests took a seat on an ocean-front private terrace at Rada Restaurant. While we ate and danced the night away, the city of Positano was aglow with twinkling lights that reflected off the sea. We even snuck away for a few moments to take some photos along the beach under the starry sky.
Positano is known for its lemons, so our favors were hand-painted bottles of limoncello, a sweet way to remember our special day. We couldn’t have been more thrilled with how everything turned out—it was the adventure we’d been dreaming of and the perfect way to start our new life as husband and wife!
