From Elizabeth Duncan EventsWhat bride wouldn’t want to be “Married with the Masterpieces?!” Inspired by the exquisite art and 19th century estate of The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC, we designed a romantic and luxurious wedding day. Thinking of our upcoming Fall and Winter brides, we incorporated jewel tones of purple and red, rich velvet and heirloom-style accents. Lush florals and abundant candlelight created an inviting ambiance for a romantic ceremony in front of the historic fireplace. A dramatic, long table was adorned with silver vases of blooms in purple, red, and peach, taper candles and hand-calligraphed satin ribbon placecards. Finished off with a toast of port and a slice of cake, our couple enjoyed a wedding as beautifully timeless as the paintings of Monet, Degas, and Renoir.
