Romantic NYC Anniversary Session
This sweet shoot was originally planned for Paris, but due to work logistics, ended up in the Big Apple. Inspiration was shifted to the ever chic Carrie Bradshaw and I must say, despite the location switcheroo, the finished results are magnifique! Le Secret D'Audrey brought her Parisian flair to the streets of Manhattan and these pics have warmed my heart - see them all in our VAULT right here!
From Le Secret D'Audrey... PC and Kenny contacted me for an anniversary shoot in Paris which we were excited to plan together but due to a last minute change they couldn't come to Paris. Because I travel a lot, within 10 days we were able to meet at sunrise in NYC for a photo shoot around the streets of Manhattan.
From the Bride… We turn 5 in December and I wanted to commemorate this mini milestone anniversary of our marriage with a photo shoot. Originally, we were supposed to travel to Paris and I decided on Audrey as the photographer of choice rather instantly as I have been a fan of her work. In addition, it was the perfect location as we honeymooned in Paris. Us, captured in frames, Eiffel Tower in the background, along the Seine River, Parisian cafe. That was the plan. However, Kenny had to travel for work and we were bound for New York and Boston instead. To my delight, fate intervened! Audrey told me she would be in New York and for a day only. It was meant to be… as it happened to be the day we were departing back to Singapore on a late flight. A sunrise shoot was arranged and the rest they say is history…
We had such a lovely time together with Audrey working her magic behind the lens. Even my husband admitted to enjoying the photoshoot which is not something a lot of men would attest to! I didn’t have any theme in mind but I knew I wanted to be in tulle which led me to be inspired by the SATC series and this influenced my outfit and the shoot venues. Carrie in tulle and her black hat, Carrie in the West Village. We shot at Perry Street which is the film location of the exterior of her apartment, Carrie at the Brooklyn Bridge and of course, Carrie with her Mr Big.
