What started as a senior prom date turned into forever when these high school sweethearts became husband and wife. Their perfect day included timeless touches like the Bride’s gorgeous lace gown, stunning flowers and the classic country club reception planned by Kirkbrides and featuring Borrow Rentals‘ vintage furniture. From The Bride…Trent and I went to high school together, but didn’t start dating until he asked me to senior prom (seriously, the last possible moment to start dating during high school!) The timing ended up being perfect because we coincidentally had plans to attend the same college after high school graduation. After four years together in college, we had to move to different cities for our careers so we dated long-distance for a bit while I lived in Chicago and he moved back to Cleveland. I eventually made my way back to Cleveland because I missed him and we both prefer to be closer to our families anyway! He proposed on our 6-year dating anniversary in the Cayman Islands (quite an improvement from when he asked me to prom passing through the hallway!).
We couldn’t wait to start planning our Wedding! After selecting our church and venue together, I loved meeting with my fabulous team of vendors and planning the “little” details that made it personable! My main goal was to make sure our Wedding felt timeless because I didn’t want to look back at it in 20+ years and say, “what was I thinking!?” Our Wedding day truly was a dream! Since I tend to be an emotional person, the day started with many tears as my Bridesmaids and I got ready (I mean, I have been dreaming of this day since I was a little girl and it was suddenly here!). But, it quickly turned into smiles and pure joy all around as I made my way down the aisle towards my handsome groom at St. Paul Shrine! Following the ceremony, we took pictures at the gorgeous Cleveland Museum of Art (obsessed!) before heading to our reception at Westwood Country Club. It was the perfect scene starting with the gorgeous patio at cocktail hour complemented with vintage furniture from Borrow Vintage and Eclectic Rentals, an oyster bar and signature beverages! The reception was brought together by the stunning floral centerpieces by Molly Taylor and Co., an “almost too pretty to eat” cake by Wild Flour Bakery and a packed dance floor following dinner (who doesn’t love that?!) Trent and I couldn’t have been more happy with what we call our “best day ever!” To top it all off, it was a beautiful sunny day in Cleveland, Ohio.
