Romantic Pink & Gold Wedding at the Canadian Museum of Nature

I may be a little bit biased since I too met my husband online, but these screen time sweeties are stealing the show. Especially considering that their Big Day included loads of pink, gold, and elegance deets that are to die for. It’s SMP with a soft twist of pastels, and thanks to Nicole Amanda Photography we’ve got it all sitting in THE VAULT!

From Nicole Amanda PhotographyThe wedding on this gorgeous couple’s day was absolute perfection. They each started getting ready at opposite ends of the city, before seeing each other for the first time in the arboretum of the Central Experimental Farm. Both their ceremony and reception was at the Canadian Museum of Nature, in my opinion, the best indoor venue in the city as you can see from all it’s amazing natural light. Pink & gold bliss.

From the Bride… After a 6.5 hour first date at a quaint restaurant in a trendy area of Ottawa known as Westboro, we knew we were meant for one another! Whether it was teasing each other about showing up to the date and not being who they claimed to be (we met online), laughing endlessly the entire night about anything and everything, or sharing dorky details about ourselves to get to know one another, we knew it was the beginning of something amazing. This first date set the tone for our entire relationship – a couple of geeks bonded by mutual weirdness and an innate love for making each other laugh and smile. In March 2014, we jetted off to hot and sunny Las Vegas, Nevada for a vacation from our jobs and the bitter, cold weather of Ottawa.

While in Vegas, Brennan knew how excited I was to visit the Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor so that I could gawk over artifacts and pretend for one second that I was a passenger on the Titanic. Little did I know that Brennan was going to pop the question here with a ring that he had hidden in his camera bag the entire time through U.S. Customs and travelling. While we walked through the exhibit, Brennan always stayed 10 feet ahead of me to scope out where he would pop the question, and alas, he finally found it. I walked out onto a beautiful replica of a deck complete with the sounds of waves, a starry sky, and some sort of cooling system to make it feel chilly exactly like it would have been during an evening on the Titanic. I gasped and ran in awe to the edge of the deck and looked out over the rails smiling. Seconds later I heard Brennan say my name, and I turned around to see him down on one knee as he asked the infamous question. I was quick to excitedly say “yes!”, and here we are today!
