From Coco Tran... Laura Moulton and Reid Chambers married at the beautiful beachside Seaside Scrippts Forum in La Jolla on April 5th, 2015.
They share a sweet love story of meeting on the first day of their master's program at Midwestern University orientation in Chicago. Little did they know that they were on the same path in their careers. They quickly became good friends and started dating while in their master's program. Reid was accepted to Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and Laura did as well the following year. Reid was inspired by his brother Sean who has Cerebral palsy, to become a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. While both in school they took many mini vacations to San Diego where Reid's family is from.
From the Bride... Reid proposed in Mexico just a few days after our 4th year dating anniversary. We had planned a trip to Cancun about six months prior. The resort that we were going to, was actually a place that we had been together before and loved it so much, The Beloved Hotel.
The ceremony was very simple and non-denominational. The officiant was Wendy Fish. She is a long-time family friend of the Chamber's family and actually performed Reid's "coming of age ceremony". Readings were by our mothers only. I walked down the aisle to "Here Comes the Bride", played with Spanish guitar and cello and we wrote our own vows.
