French Country Wedding Inspiration

Not only do Koman Photography and Frankly Weddings have a LOT of wedding pretty to deliver to us today, but it comes along with a lesson on how to achieve that lovely—Layer. Layer. Layer. From rustic wooden chairs and happily-hued linens by La Tavola to the shapely crafted blooms by Indigo and Plum against backdrops of lace by Essense Of Australia, each detail is woven with care for a final result that reads: wedding gorgeous.

From Koman Photography…John and I were so fortunate to work with such an amazingly talented team! We’ve been dreaming of a French Wedding Inspiration for sometime now and when the time came to bring our vision to life we knew just who we could trust to help bring the French romantic feeling to Malibu.

From Frankie of Frankly Weddings…It is so easy to create a décor scheme that is missing something that you just can’t put your finger on. You’ve chosen the colors, the flowers, the linens, the china and flatware, but it doesn’t feel as romantic and decadent as you envisioned. What are you missing? Layered details! This photo shoot, styled by Frankly.Weddings proves the importance of layering details, and Koman Photography shot the breathtaking results for us to enjoy.

The base for this Romantic French Country Wedding was created by using a luscious table drape from La Tavola Fine Linen Rental and layered it with an oversized mauve runner A combination of Dish Wish vintage rentals, from pewter candlesticks, elegant crystal decanters and richly detailed glassware to simple vintage ivory china with layers of gorgeous textures and monotone details, dotted the center of the table, further enhancing the layered effect. The blush-toned linens were complimented by the romantically wild floral arrangements by Indigo and Plum, which included bold pops of deep purple and leafy branches. As any rustic setting such as Purple Hills Ranch would call for, it is important to incorporate elements of accessible nature on your tables, and the loose plums and figs scattered amongst the floral arrangements were the perfect way to do that. The fruit infused more of that deep color, tied to the surroundings, and served as yet another layer of décor!

We also can’t ignore that amazing dessert table, with treats by Sheila Mae. The dessert display continued the soft color scheme in the most delicious way – blush colored macarons, black berry accented layer cakes, and individual cherry topped tarts, all displayed in vintage glass and silver platters and pedestals. The layers of details and design seem endless!

Of course, the layers of attention to detail can’t end at your décor, it must carry into your own appearance on the big day. This Bride is in one of the most romantic lace gowns we’ve ever seen from Bella Bridal. Nicoletta Gauci & Lily Naanos of Theresa Huang Makeup & Hair Design styled loose, wavy hair and dark smoldering eyes that are perfectly accented with the sweetest floral crown that looks like it could have been foraged on the spot. The Groom’s soft navy suit is handsomely styled for his Bride. All the details are breathtaking and the Bride and Groom looked right at home as they enjoyed the decadent scheme created just for them.
