I have too many favorite parts of this Cape Cod wedding to count. From the traditional gown and cathedral train to the handmade cross at the ceremony, you can sense the meaning behind every detail, coordinated by Pink Polka Dot Event Planning. And to top it all off, I always love a Bride that can kick off her shoes for some real fun – and Judy Pak captured this moment and more. See it all this way!
From Judy Pak Photography… Rebecca and EJ’s late summer wedding took place at Bourne Farm in Falmouth, MA on Cape Cod. It was a perfect representation of both of their backgrounds -Rebecca growing up in Ohio where she has fond memories of time spent at her grandparents’ farm, and EJ spending summer weekends at the beach with his grandparents in Falmouth.
Rebecca loved the concept of juxtaposing the rustic backdrop of a working farm with a traditional dress in Shantung silk and a full cathedral train, white tablecloths with vintage silver centerpieces, and a served dinner. She used a variety of unusual greenery for her bouquet and the table arrangements, which was more elegant than wildflowers and yet still fared the hot weather well. The ceremony site at the back of the property was on a hill between pumpkin fields
and a lake, marked with a large wooden cross EJ’s uncle made for the couple. The bride and her father arrived together in a white Bentley – the same that the groom and his bride departed in at the end of the night. Cocktails were served in the barn as the sun set, followed by dinner and dancing under a tent with a live band. Vows under sunny, blue skies gave way to a clear, starlight night – the end to a perfect first day of a lifetime together!
