Romantic Lakeside Fall Whistler Wedding
Keeping the all-natural beauty of their lakeside venue in mind, this darling duo set out to infuse their "I Do's" with rustic fall hues, organic decor, and nods to their love of the great outdoors (canoes!).With the help of Spread Love Events and Gucio Photography, they got exactly what they wished for and more, and you can see it all in The Vault here!
From The Bride...When Darin and I began planning our big day, the most important thing we wanted was our wedding to reflect who we are as a couple. Fall is our favorite season, so naturally we chose to get married in September – one of the most beautiful seasons in British Columbia. The first thing we did was book our venue. We love the Whistler area and spend many weekends snowboarding, hiking or simply, wandering the village. We wanted a location that showcased the epic scenery Whistler provides, but still delivered a cozy, intimate experience. The beautiful Nita Lake Lodge provided everything we were looking for and more. Next, we met with Ashley Bond from Spread Love Events. We instantly hit it off and were excited about all her creative ideas and suggestions for vendors. We knew we were in good hands with Ashley and the Spread Love team.
Darin and I both share a passion for cooking and entertaining friends and family. We used this common love as inspiration and tried to incorporate it into our day in as many ways possible. Instead of a traditional guest book we chose one of our favorite cookbooks. The book has turned into a great keepsake and we enjoy reading all our guests’ comments and reflecting on our wedding day every time we cook together. Nita Lake also designed a custom family style menu, incorporating all of our favorite seasonal foods. Our guests enjoyed the interactive dining experience and raved about the amazing food. Finally, Spread Love Events and the talented team at Celsia Floral transformed Nita Lake Lodge’s ballroom into a breathtaking dining room that captured the spirit and decor of a true harvest feast.
Everything on our wedding day was perfect, thanks to all of our terrific vendors and our loving friends and family. Everyone went above and beyond and we couldn’t be more grateful for pulling off such an amazing day.
