From Frances of Prema...Georgia O’Keefe first visited Ghost Ranch in 1934. Struck by the high desert landscape of northern New Mexico, both barren and richly complex, it soon became her chosen home as an artist. Here in the rough and quiet environment of mesas, cliffs and plains, O’Keefe would walk daily with her dogs, picking up bones and plants and gathering inspiration. She loved the flat-topped mountain called The Pedernal and drew it over and over again. At Ghost Ranch, O’Keefe lived as she liked. It was a place where she felt she truly belonged. She was a fiercely independent woman, deeply introspective and adventurous: a renegade of her time.

Drawn to her story and deep love of the land around Abiquiu New Mexico, we traveled there to capture a romance, raw and authentic, spirited and free. Our couple, Rosa and Peter, embody a young, grace-filled and thoughtful type of love.

New Mexico is called The Land of Enchantment and it truly is just that. The light refracts dramatically, spring winds blow painterly clouds across the wide skies and the land itself is imbued with a powerful history and a palpable sanctity.
