Cozy + Traditional Wedding in Santa Monica

You know what's adorable? Marrying your sweetheart on the very street where you first met, which is exactly what these cafe cuties did. A sentimentally sweet celebration paired with ceremony rituals, Koman Photography shot every second. It's California chic meets a twist on tradition (with plenty textured blooms along the way) and you can see it all in The Vault!

From the beautiful Bride... We met in a cute café on Main Street in Santa Monica, so it was pretty magical for us to be able to celebrate our marriage on the very same street we first met.

We are both romantic and traditional. We appreciate simple elegance, and we love the beach, so it makes sense that we fell in love with The Victorian (our venue) from the moment we visited. It felt intimate and classic, and set the tone for our celebration. Not to mention, Holly, the venue contact, was the sweetest and most accommodating person to work with. We chose soft, romantic colors – blush, dusty green, and gold.

What we wanted most was to enjoy our time with friends and family, and to incorporate both Mexican and French tradition – from the ceremony rituals (the lasso, the unity candle, the arras), to the music that our DJ played.

We spent a lot of time with our florist, Una Yeh, chatting about flowers, vases, textures, heights. On our wedding day, she created the most incredible flower arrangements I have ever seen, incorporating mercury vases, gold books, succulents, and other beautiful flowers. Every detail was just gorgeous.

Our photographers Marlene and John understood our style right away – our love for the beach, the outdoors and nature in general. Because the girls got ready at a residence in the Pacific Palisades, the photographers recommended taking bridal party photos on a nearby mountain trail, which made for a spectacular backdrop (and not to worry, no actual hiking was required)! They also encouraged us to sneak away for a few moments during the wedding to capture a few romantic beach photos. We are so grateful to our photographers who captured all the special moments so beautifully. We are lucky to have found such talented, creative, kind and professional people to work with.

We are so thankful to our wedding coordinator, Candace Lam, who gave us peace of mind and directed everything so perfectly, and to everyone who participated in our special day.
