From the beautiful Bride-to-be... This bridal shower was a very special one to me, as it was my very own bridal shower. Being a wedding planner and planning your own wedding is an incredible feeling. I was finally a bride and was able to go through all the same feelings and emotions that my brides go through leading up to their big day.

Nestled in a private residence, my mother-in-law hosted the most beautiful garden party bridal shower for my closest family and friends.  A long table seating 40 women lined the back yard patio. A flower filled water fountain and the vast greenery of the back yard served as the perfect backdrop for this fabulous afternoon. Guests were greeted by our “drink pretty” drink station with a gold sugar rimmed champagne flute that had their name written on a beautiful piece of Silk and Willow ribbon. Rose petal infused water was served in large carafes for easy access for guests to self serve. The bridal party received a custom cookie with their title in the wedding, which was placed at on top of their piece of cake! Such a sweet touch by Bord A Petit Catering!

I was drawn to neutral tones with touches of bright pink and coral hues, which were seen throughout the loose floral arrangements. Wooden and glass candleholders danced on the tables with taupe and peach colored candlesticks. Cream colored plates, gold flatware, linen napkins and a shapely champagne flute was presented at each seat. Guests were served a plate with various hors d’oeuvres as a light lunch to accompany the overflow of champagne. At the end of the long table, I created a three fold wooden backdrop with a simple greenery laurel wreath garland that was the perfect touch to finish the backyard and distinguish the table to frame it in the vast backyard. I incorporated cream-colored yarn in various design elements as it is soft and feminine and blows so subtly in the wind. The yarn chandelier hung above the cake off centered, not to take away from the cakes’ simple beauty. The party favor was a little clay pot that I spray painted a cream color, which held soap in the shape of a rose. They were so sweet and simple.

The florals included some of my favorite blooms. Peonies, dahlias, garden roses, ranunculus, tulips and spray roses to name a few. The greenery springs consisted of smilax, jasmine vine and Italian ruscus. They were a perfect pop to the simple elegance of the candles.
