From Abby Jiu Photography…Our bride and groom put a lot of thought and effort into picking each and every aspect of the wedding. The bride was absolutely stunning with just the right mix of classic (how can you not love a red lip and finger waves?) in her Rosa Clara wedding dress and wore her mom’s headpiece over her veil. A. Dominick Events collaborated with Amaryllis, Fabrications and Frost Lighting to transform the Decatur House tent to a classic and timeless space for guests to enjoy dinner from Occasions Caterers. The mix of La Tavola linens and the DC Rental chairs created a comfortable and residential feel in the space.
There were so many personal touches and surprises from all sides – the bride surprised the groom with a bottle of Dom Perignon from the year he was born, the bride’s aunt flew handmade leis all the way from Hawaii, a surprise groom’s cake shaped like a bear wearing running shoes (a nod to the groom’s nickname and favorite hobby), a cigar and bourbon bar with the groom’s favorites and a dessert display with the bride’s favorite local pies to satisfy her extreme sweet tooth – each detail was the perfect compliment to this sweet couples personality and love for each other, their friends and family.
