Backyard Summer Solstice Celebration
Summertime celebrations call for handfuls of backyard blooms paired with softly draped gowns, and today Meg Smith has answered our seasonal wishes. This styled shoot suggests a backyard wedding loosely pulled together with family keepsakes from within the home - a vintage table linen, glassware with a family monogram, and vintage sterling silver flatware. We set a lovely table for dining beneath an old olive tree on the property, and suspended a rope swing with a large hurricane to serve as the chandelier. The cake appears homemade, with somewhat imperfect round layers and a cluster of blueberries and floral bits gathered from the garden.
The bride is shoeless as are the flower children. This gracious garden and private property in Woodside serves as the perfect backdrop for our country gathering. We even have a few "photobombs" by Buddy the dog and a hen or two!
