A Provence Engagement Session in Fields Lavender

I dream of France on the daily and today Greg Finck has brought my fond hopes into existence. Set in a lavender field (in Provence!) it's an e-sesh filled with romance and it's giving me major wanderlust with each violaceous hue. Graced with never-ending beauty and one happy in love pair, the golden hour gallery is one you won't want to miss!

From Greg Finck... Anna and Nuri came all the way from St Petersburg, Russia, to get engaged in the middle of Provence lavender fields. When Anna contacted me a year ago, she admitted that being photographed in the stunning Provence lavender fields was her child's dream.

I can actually understand that, as lavender is a full part of Provence imagery and these landscapes are stunning during the summer. The only stretch with lavender, that most people don't have in mind, is that it only blooms in Provence between June 15th and July 15th. After these dates, the lavender is cut to be used in Provence fragrance industry, wether it is to produce essential oils, perfumes, soaps, etc.

We had the luck of a beautiful summer day with Anna and Nuri, and we positioned the session exactly for golden hour. We started the session on the hills overlooking the Provence valley, where Anna and Nuri could enjoy a refreshing homemade cocktail made of local Limoncello and sparkling water. Anna looked stunning in her purple dress, that she had chosen for the occasion so as to match the lavender color palette.

We then headed to two beautiful lavender fields to enjoy the sunset and the golden hour. Anna and Nuri looked stunning and really enjoyed the moment. This is honestly one of my favorite engagement session so far.
