From Christy Janeczko Photography… It was a perfect Midwest day, complete with fluffy clouds a gorgeous barn venue and a couple about to celebrate their 8th year of marriage. Danielle and Kevin are high school sweethearts and have been together 14 years and just welcomed their second son.
When I started dreaming about a summer shoot back at the end of February Danielle and Kevin were the first couple I wanted to contact about an anniversary shoot because of just how in love they are with each other. We wanted to create a romantic boho chic look with a rustic backdrop as the rustic theme is still very popular in the Midwest yet leaving behind the burlap, mason jars and babies breath that is also still very popular. We knew we wanted soft, lovely florals topped off with a stunning floral crown. No detail was overlooked and the macaroons were even created by hand by the wedding photographer.
In the afternoon just as hair and makeup were being finished on Danielle the storm clouds rolled in and gave us a healthy dousing of torrential rain, wind and hail that covered the ground like a November snowstorm. We huddled by the barn doors waiting for the dark clouds and danger to pass and the sun eventually showed her lovely self for some amazing evening buttery light. All in all it was a magical day fit for the love of Danielle & Kevin.
