A Springtime Mont Tremblant Engagement Session

With this adorable springtime engagement session, held where this darling duo said "I love you" for the first time (at the Groom-to-be's family condo in Mont Tremblant!), what was already a special place in both their hearts, suddenly came to be so much more. Melissa Johnson captured every sweet moment in the gallery here, and trust me: you won't be able to stop swooning over these adorable blanket cuddles!

From The Bride...Adam and I met on a large and fun-filled group trip to New Orleans in May of 2012. We spent the week going to Jazzfest and taking in all that NOLA had to offer, but lost touch when we returned home to Ottawa. Spring turned into summer, and then into fall, when we bumped into each other at a local cajun-themed watering hole. Not wanting to lose contact again, Adam invited me over for dinner and, after a few more dates, we were both hooked.

Our first "I love you's" were exchanged at Adam's family ski retreat, in lovely Mont Tremblant. Since then, we have enjoyed spending time there all year round. The mountain is truly one of our favourite spots to be. So, after Adam proposed, it only seemed fitting that we include Mont Tremblant in our wedding preparations. I loved the idea of shooting our engagement session at various locations throughout the mountain, and our photographer Melissa Johnston was completely on board with my crazy idea!

Adam, Melissa, and I made the two hour drive up on a Friday afternoon, with rain looming, and started in Mont Tremblant village. We love strolling in the village with family or after a day of skiing or just to see all of the activity buzzing at the bottom of the ski hill. It doesn't matter the season, there is always something to see and do. Next, we found a hidden forest just off the mountain for a few rustic lake-side shots. The last location we chose was the deck of the hill-side condo, our family's home away from home. The rain managed to hold off until we had a few photos, and we could not have been happier to have shot our engagement session at place that means so much to us.
