When Jessica Lorren steps behind the lens, magic inevitably happens. She’s the kind of photographer who truly makes each moment shine, and when she gets to capture a wedding as beautiful like this Boca Raton beauty, it just doesn’t get any better. We all win with a gallery this good, so join me in getting lost in all the lovely here.
The Addison has so much natural beauty and charm, I chose to play up the romance of the venue and compliment it with blush, cream, and gold detailing. This wedding was a labor of love and Blaine and I spent many hours creating a day that was completely “us.” With the help of our friends and family, and numerous bottles of gold spray paint and white paint markers, we were able to make most of the important details ourselves. Our escort card display was made on a headboard we found outside of our apartment with the calligraphy done by myself and some friends. We also made the welcome sign, ceremony board, and quote boards. Blaine made our wine box that we used for our ceremony and we found a vintage dictionary at an old bookstore that we used for our guest book.
Blaine and I share a very close group of friends and we always knew we wanted to include them in our day. Our friend Mike is in school for architecture and graciously did a line drawing of The Addison that we used on our Save the Dates. My friend Nick always joked that he would sing at our wedding one day and when we were thinking about first dance songs we knew he had to be the one to sing it. We both agreed that we did not want to have a stranger marry us and knew that our friend Jesse would be the perfect person to officiate our ceremony. Together we wrote our ceremony, carefully picking readings and sayings that meant a lot to us as a couple. When the time came for Blaine to read his vows, we heard the faint sound of the train in the distance and my heart sank as this was something I was warned about.
However, listening to him spill his heart out and watching the tears about to fall from his eye, Jesse threw in a quick joke and we were able to laugh and take a quick dance break as the train roared by. It gave me a second to regroup before I read my vows and will remain one of my favorite moments of the night.
