From The Bride…There’s not a day that goes by, that Sam and I don’t thank our lucky stars (and my cousin for the gentle nudge) that we found each other in the big NYC. We’ve been dating for 5 years, and this past November after a crazy week that included a whirlwind move and a surprise birthday party for Sam (mission accomplished), a little before 7am on our first Saturday in the new apartment, Sam woke me up asking to spend the rest of our lives together.
Since our first date, it’s been a package deal with the three of us (yes, that includes our lively and handsome Yellow Lab, Riley). We live in Manhattan and spend our summer weekends in Westhampton – most of our time is usually spent taking cover from the splashes of Riley’s pool dives. So when it came time to start planning our wedding, we thought a winter wedding in the city and engagement photos in Westhampton were the perfect balance. Truthfully, wedding planning has been a breeze, when things get stressful we take a wedding planning hiatus. We consider ourselves to be a great team and have made all planning decisions together – but the best part about this whole wedding is that we get to be Mr. and Mrs. in January!
Crazy weather tends to follow us whenever we make plans… so a little rain didn’t stop us from taking engagement photos with the amazing Betsi Ewing. Hopefully rain for engagement photos means a beautiful wintery white snowy wedding day!
