Glamorous + Romantic Wedding Inspiration
Marsala has proven to reign queen of the color scheme, and this next inspo straight from the oh-so-talented Touched By Angels is holding court. Because not only is it blooming with gorgeous hues in the form of fab florals, but it's also twinkling with modern elements that are seasonal yet structured. It's easy to be in awe of the gorgeousness a la Anthea Auld and you can applaud all the pretty here!
From Touched By Angels... What could be more romantic than a style shoot set against the backdrop of Autumnal foliage and vines? Sandalford Wines in the Swan Valley, Perth, provided the perfect location for this epic shoot, being a collaboration of Perth’s finest wedding vendors.
Drawing inspiration from the seasonal location and from Pantone’s Colour of 2015 Marsala – the shoot took on a romantic moodiness and drama embodied by florals rich in tones of raspberry, red, dirty mauve and dusty pink. The chemistry between the two models was mesmerising, even tangible at times as they moved between locations to portray the journey of a real life wedding day; from the outdoor ceremony location featuring a beautiful flower adorned arbour and vintage church pews, to stolen quiet moments at a sweetheart table and reception dining table and finally the culmination of a private bridal waltz under twinkling festoon lighting.
The beautiful Anna Campbell gowns epitomised the youth and glamour of our bride giving her effortless and unrestrictive style. A dramatic unstructured crescent shaped bouquet was the perfect contrast against the romantic lace and sequins of these gowns.
We wanted the images to not only be a feast for the eyes but to visually create a sense of texture and detail. The florals were paired with rustic timber pieces such as wooden furniture and props and were then juxtaposed against more modern elements such as copper foil stationary and copper flatware. Pivotal pieces such as brass candlesticks, mercury tea light holders, vintage crystal stemware, and a Silk and Willow table runner completed the tables cape.
Our favourite detail was the incorporation of seasonal fruits to give the reception table an atmosphere of decadent feasting.
