Rustic Fall Wedding at Litchfield Plantation
I just can't get enough of the colors in Studio 1250's pics, from the beautiful blues as the Bride got ready to the magical glow surrounding this couple as they said their I do's - and these fabulous teal Jenny Yoo bridesmaids' dresses don't hurt either. It's a Southern feast for the eyes - see it all right this way!
From the Bride... Tyler and I met way back in 2003 in one of the first weeks of our freshman year of college. We didn't start dating until our sophomore year when Tyler got up the courage to switch one of his classes to be in mine so he could spend more time with me. Shortly after that I finally agreed to go out on a date with him for my birthday in February but we didn't become officially "boyfriend/girlfriend" until May 28th, 2005 while on vacation with his family. After that we dated for eight years, some in the same town and some long distance. We got a chocolate lab after the first year of being together and moved in together in 2011. Then exactly 10 years to the weekend of the first time we met eyes, Tyler got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together as a married couple.... I said "yes!"
As for the wedding, we knew we wanted to be surrounded by live oaks and Spanish moss. Pawleys Island wasn't exactly our first choice as we had actually never been to the town. But one Saturday my parents and I drove to Pawleys Island to look at Litchfield Plantation. Honestly, I don't even remember how I found the plantation but as soon as we drove on to the property I knew that it was the place. It had such a magical feeling to it and it was absolutely breathtaking!!! I am a designer and have actually designed a couple of weddings so I knew I wanted a big say in how the decor turned out. My Mom and I shopped for everything and one afternoon we put together each table, decor item, and lighting plan, and then she stored them in big boxes with lists and pictures so on the day of the wedding, Kelly from Gigi Noelle Events could put them together as easy as possible. My Dad is a great carpenter and made the LOVE letters, the altar, and the bar for me - those of course were my most favorite details!! One of my good friends, who owns a floral shop in Atlanta, drove all the flowers in a big van the day before and put it together the altar and added the final touches to the rest of the venue!! Every little detail turned out to be better than I imagined and I wish I could do it over and over again.
