When I was a little girl, I’d explore the woods beyond my house, diving into my own magical world. This shoot by Ryan Ray brought me back to those days and I couldn’t be happier. Sapphire Events set up a scene worthy of my fantasies and with Kim Starr Wise’s floral creations, I’m struggling to focus on anything today but this beauty. Work can wait; I need much more time in this wonderous world.
From Sapphire Events… Set in a pine forest on the outskirts of mystic New Orleans, this ethereal design evokes a sense of hushed urgency in the serenity and quiet calm of nature at sunset. The Sarah Janks gown is simple and intimate with its flowing layers of silk organza and its daringly high slit, catching the breeze as our bride briskly skips from patch of grass to cool leaves on the forest ground. Into the woods she treads nimbly and effortlessly, anxious to find herself in her husband’s warm embrace. Her bouquet – a wild and unruly collection gathered by the best florist in New Orleans, takes shape with blooms and greens sourced from the surroundings, as though the bride foraged her own assembly of forest blossoms just prior to her escape into the arms of her betrothed.
