You already knew that peony bouquets hold a special place in our hearts here at SMP, but can you believe floral designer Tenley Young handpicked each individual stem for this beauty?! Now that’s special.

From Tenley Young… I was approached by Taryn Leach (the Event Coordinator) to design a pink, white, gold, and turquoise wedding at Sunstone Villa… I could NOT pass that up! The Bride wanted a beautiful blend of vintage, rustic, glam, and elegance and I was so excited to be a part of such a fun and inspiring design. Molly, the Bride, was so laid back; she just wanted a beautiful setting for her family and friends to enjoy. With artistic freedom and trust from the Bride I always go a little overboard because I really get to create something personal just for them.
While the palette was phenomenal, I had to be very careful to choose just the right shades of pink – go too salmon or go too red and the entire look is thrown off. There are more varieties of pink than other other flowers on the market, so I hand picked each color after pulling multiple colors and placing them next to each other. I needed to make sure they all tied together, while each stood out on it’s own. I was so happy with the result! The whites softened the pinks and the pops of dusty miller greenery gave it a more rustic and organic feel.
The entire wedding design was so much fun. I love the chance to do something out of the ordinary and this wedding allowed me to do that. The more creative you get and allow your vendors to get, the more personal and memorable your wedding.
