Elegant ‘Something Blue’ Netherlands Wedding Inspiration

My great-grammy was a collector of many things: teapots, teddy bears and of course, her beloved Delftware. Admittedly, I suppose I always felt it was old-fashioned, but after seeing this Delft-blue inspired shoot from Anouschka Rokebrand? Well, it doesn’t feel so old-fashioned anymore—but rather elegant and picturesque for a sweet ‘something blue’ wedding. See it all here.

From Anouschka RokebrandThe look of this shoot is inspired by the romantic handpainted Delft pottery. With a palette of pale, dusky and powder blues which is offset with white, grey and hints of brass to give an elegant, luxe feel. The beautiful table was adorned with beautiful pale blue linens. For the stationery a hint of calligraphy was used in the design. Beautiful brass candlesticks and delicate glassware was used. One gorgeous centerpiece on the table and beautiful antique wooden chairs completed the look.

For the sweettable, Sugarlips Cakes had created two different cakes and sweets all in the pale blue and white shades to match the theme perfectly. Our models, real couple Dorien and Steffen, wore a dark blue suit and two dresses were arranged for Dorien to wear. One pale blue one and a white one with a lace top and tulle skirt. We used beautiful headpieces and veils from SIBO designs and jewelry from DRKS. The shoot took place at the stunning castle Hooge Vuursche, in the woods in Baarn, The Netherlands. This shoot was part of Louise Beukes workshop during the third edition of the European Wedding Congress.
