Texas Bluebonnet Engagement Session

I wasn’t familiar with Texas bluebonnets until I came upon Brooke Jonsson’s, of Oh Studio Stella, pics from this adorable engagement shoot. And now holy moly, I am obsessed. These flowers are downright gorgeous and their color absolutely captivating, and not to mention, these two cuties make the whole scene even better. See why my day just got a whole lot better right here!

From Brooke Jonsson of Oh Stella StudioRichard is a full-time jazz musician, playing upright bass in the best jazz groups around Austin. Karen is one of Austin’s best jazz vocalists, fronting her own band. Together, they are the ultimate power couple in the jazz community. Karen and Richard can be hired to play music for weddings, private functions, holiday parties, and everything in between. For more info- visit www.karentennison.com.

From the Bride-to-be… We met in college at The University of Northern Colorado. We both registered for the same class, which met once a week in the evenings. Since we lived in the same area of town, Richard would walk me home every week after class. I liked his glasses, his humor, and his taste in music (jazz). He liked that I was just as passionate about jazz as he was (among other things). For our first date, he took me to the local one-screen, vintage-inspired theater to see “Raising Arizona.” When he graduated, we moved back to Austin and have been playing music with each other every chance we get. I am currently on the hunt for a handmade dress to wear for our November wedding this year at the Barr Mansion in Austin, TX.
