Romantic Vineyard Wedding

This, my friends, is what we call fate.  Two people who grew up just two miles from each other and hung out at the same gatherings as teenagers, but didn't actually meet until years later, one serendipitous evening over casual drinks with a mutual friend.  (Sigh.) It's a story made for the most romantic of movies... and their wedding captured by B&G Photography?  Just as amazing.  See it all here.

From The Bride... Brent and I grew up about two miles from each other, knew the same people and went to the same parties as teenagers but never crossed paths until we met eight years ago over some drinks with a mutual friend. After the day we met we secretly knew this would last forever but were too scared to tell each other because it seemed crazy and didn’t know how it would work with our (what we thought) different life goals but we had to make it last. I had gone off to college and he was chasing his career to become a Firefighter Paramedic but despite the distance and heartaches that long distance relationships bring, we stuck through it! He sealed the deal one winter day in our living room through a song he wrote and sang to me on a guitar that told the emotional story of our lives from day one to that moment. It was truly an incredible night that makes me tear up thinking or writing about it again because of how much we put ourselves through to make it that far!

After Brent proposed it was a week of celebrations and talks of a dream fantasy wedding with family and friends then I realized I needed to wake up and start the actual planning because we chose August of that year!

First thought: LOCATION. Brent and I love wine, it runs through our veins and we have grown to love it together which is why we decided on a winery. It had to be much more than just a “winery” and the location had to be close enough for all our beloveds to attend but far enough to feel like a destination wedding so we were immediately sold on Temecula Wine Country being that we live in Southern California. Luckily I had “scouts” made up of my family to help me pick a perfect winery since I was so consumed with work. My cousin found Falkner Winery and after comparing other wineries and thinking of my vision, it was perfect. They offered the whole package: incomparable location and view, romantic setting, dinner, drinks and an amazing on site wedding coordinator - Krissy - to help piece together my vision for the most important day of our lives.

The mood we wanted for our wedding day was the inspiration behind the overall vision. We wanted to be relaxed and wanted everyone else to share that with us so everything from the band to the color scheme had to set the tone for a light, romantic, calm evening. I envisioned our guests to do the Waltz, not the Cha Cha, as they walked through the beautiful doors of the reception room and the fact that the room had a 180 degree floor to ceiling view of the gorgeous vineyards and setting sun was the perfect environment to for our vision come to life! Our team of talented vendors made everything come together perfectly from the flowers to the cake. All I could say during the meetings with them were the words “simple and elegant” along with colors and they did the rest.

Of all the decisions we had to make the most difficult was to choose a photographer that I felt comfortable with because I have never really enjoyed taking pictures. A friend recommended B&G Photography and my prayers were answered; Jen captured every moment I was afraid would be unnoticed and blended in as if she were not even there which helped us stay natural. She adapted to what we needed and was just so calm! Stunning work that will allow us to re-live the best day of our lives when some moments of the day may fade away with time.

Our wedding day surpassed every expectation I had, it truly was perfect and all the details just fell into place and if I had to do it all over again I would change nothing. All the hard work from all the vendors, our family and friends made this day the absolute best day of our lives and we will forever be grateful.
