I’m pretty sure that if I were a guest at this wedding, you would have seen my eyes grow wider and my smile brighter at every turn. For starters, Sea Island has gorgeous written all over it, and served as the perfect canvas for this elegant duo‘s nuptials. From The Bride…We wanted our wedding to be elegant and simple with a touch of rustic charm. For the ceremony, classic neutral colors were selected and we used lots of texture for the flowers and bridesmaids dresses. We hung chandeliers from the trees (easily my favorite part of the ceremony design) to compliment the space and give it an intimate, romantic feel. We wanted the reception space to again be simple but also fun. We used the same neutrals from the ceremony but highlighted them with pops of bright pink color and fun rustic votives and candles. In keeping with the rustic theme, we used both square and round tables of different sizes and covered them with gold and brown table cloths, again with texture and pattern. The best part of the reception design were the beautiful branch overhangs that were built over the larger estate tables. We hung small candles from the branches and my goal was for these tables to give the room a slight “outdoor under the stars” appeal. My husband and I were blown away by what an amazing job everyone did in executing the entire design. We are so grateful to everyone who made the event so much fun and such a success!
